As you may know, at the Anna Maria Oyster Bar, we are big fans of giving back, particularly to educational initiatives. One cause which is special to us is PACE Center for Girls – Manatee. Read on to learn more about how we’ve supported PACE Center for Girls this spring.
LUCKY DUCKY RACE FOR PACE
ACE Center for Girls conducts a quack-tastic annual fundraiser – a rubber duck derby featuring over 15,000 adorable rubber ducks racing down the Manatee River. YOU can adopt one of the ducklings, and if your duck crosses the finish line first, you could win a lease on a NEW CAR thanks to Cox Chevrolet or one of many other great prizes… our personal favorite is the Weekly Dinner for 2 at any O-Bar location!
We are proud to announce this year’s winner of the Weekly Dinner for 2 is Andrew Levinson.
NEW THIS YEAR! A special *Very Important Duck* Race before the Lucky Ducky Race for PACE. Want in on the fun? For $350, you’ll receive a Corporate Duck with your logo in the VID Race, plus 100 ducks in the Lucky Ducky Race for PACE! Keep those 100 entries for yourself or give them away to customers and friends – your choice. A banner will be on display at the Race listing all VIDs…… plus you could win a trophy for being the MOST Very Important Duck!

Perfect Attendance Luncheon
We were so excited to welcome these fabulous PACE girls who had PERFECT ATTENDANCE during the 2016-17 school year to dine with us at the Landside O-Bar.

12 Cheers for 20 Years – April
I don’t know how many of you know this…but John was named an Official PACE Girl by the PACE Girls when they nominated the Oyster Bars for the Corporate Spirit Award at the Manatee Community Foundation’s Spirit of Manatee Awards. With their great nomination and even better introductory video at the luncheon we were honored to be named to receive that award. Click here to watch the video!
That’s one reason that April was PACE Center For Girls Month as we continue our Year-Long “12 Cheers for 20 Years” Birthday Celebration. We sold ducks for the Lucky Ducky Race for PACE, in addition to Dos Equis and our Birthday Cocktail raising money for PACE in April.

It is entirely thanks to guests like you that we were able to present PACE Center for Girls Manatee with a check for $18,030 last week, These funds were generated through sales for the Lucky Ducky Race for PACE at all four Anna Maria Oyster Bar locations, as well as the Birthday Cocktail sales in April.
What an incredible show of support from our community! Our guests make us so proud!
